On Tuesday, Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kputom Idris, led a high powered police delegation to visit the President in London. Mr. Ibrahim Idris glowing with smiles following his confirmation as the substantive IGP by the Council of State on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. The IGP was accompanied by the DIG in charge of Finance and Administration, Mr. Shuiabu Gambo, Commissioner of Police in Charge Monitoring Unit, CP Umar Garba and other top ranking officers who left the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport early Tuesday morning. Asked reasons for the impromptu visit, a source declined the comments but confirmed the trip was a top secret and planned at short notice. Recall that President Buhari left Nigeria last Thursday for 2-week holiday in London, though his Special Adviser on Media, Femi Adesina said that he will use the opportunity to undergo a medical check-up. PRESIDENT RETURNS: Man shares free (Kilishi)

There have been celebration and jubilation amongst Nigerian citizens, especially from the Northern part of the country due to the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari following his medical vacation in London.   Recently, on Friday a man celebrated the homecoming by drinking dirty water from the ground, followed by another man sharing water melon for free. On Saturday, A.S Aruwa posted on his twitter handle reporting that a man from Jos (Plateau state) distributed Kilishi worth N200,000 for free to celebrate the return of the President.
